I had a very productive meeting with Jim Hilyard, the manager of Eyam Outdoor Classroom earlier today. This is going to be a superb venue for our local community and includes indoor and outdoor classrooms, a green woodworking area, cooking facilities inside and out and beautiful, natural spaces to work and relax in.
I’m currently planning lots of exciting courses, walks and workshops together with my colleague Kathryn Gilmore. These include identifying and using herbs, hedgerow, field and forest medicines, growing your own herbs, drying and storing, wildcrafting, making medicinal and natural cosmetic products are all in the pipeline. As well as the advertised courses we can also offer tailor made courses to interested groups and individuals, so do message me if you want more details. Meanwhile look out for our flier of events coming out soon!
